KW Blues Festival

Starts Friday afternoon and goes all weekend until Sunday… you MUST check out some of this fabulous love music… A FREE event.. the largest FREE outdoor blues festival in Canada! Blues music in a variety of venues: large outdoor urban stages, smaller tents, large park setting and intimate venue settings.

eld on three stages, including the Main Stage located on King Street in front of city hall, the $1-million festival is expected to attract 150,000 people.

In addition to stage performances, the festival features workshops, children’s concerts and 12-Bar Blues performances in bars and restaurants throughout the downtown area after the stage concerts wind down.

Fergus Scottish Festival

Friday, Saturday & Sunday Aug. 10-11-12

Dust off your kilt and get ready for some serious Scottish fun!

Whether you are coming by yourself or with the entire clan there’s something for everyone, you don’t even have to be Scottish! Celtic Music, crafts for the kids, heavy events championships, bagpipes, drums, author appearances, bands, Highland dancing, story telling, singing, clan information and heritage, beer tents, artisans and vendors galore! Open Streets Waterloo

King Street Waterloo – Street will be closed to cars from John Street up to Central Ave.

It’s all about sport and style as we celebrate the Olympics AND our uber-fashionable city on August 12.
Wear your national colours & have a gold medal time as you prep for the Olympic Closing Ceremonies which start at 4pm.  With this much to see, do, taste, hear and experience!
Here’s a taste of what you’ll find:  Boxing, make your own medal, ropeboards, roller derby & wrestling. Live music, Fashion shows. Tai chi, yoga and more!  Tot spots, pop up parks, water gun battle stations. Delicious food, street sales, community groups and vendor tables, and lots of buskers too.


Momstown 5th Birthday Bash…

Sunday Aug 12 – Kitchener`s McLellan Park 10am – 1pm

A wonderful FREE event celebrating the 5th birthday of the local Momstown chapter.. so many special events and activities are planned — this will be a perfect event for families with little ones.. aged 6 and under. Guaranteed to make the kiddies smile!
