Kitchener hockey fans can rejoice as this coming Sunday, they will have their chance to touch Lord Stanley’s highly coveted cup which is visiting Kitchener accompanied by Kitchener boy & LA Kings forward Tanner Pearson.
As a member of the Stanley Cup winning LA Kings, 21-year old Pearson gets to tout the trophy in his hometown for a day and he will be sharing the fun with his hometown supporters.
“Winning the Stanley Cup was definitely a dream come true. For it to happen so soon, was pretty incredible,” said Pearson in a recent press release.
Pearson grew up playing minor hockey in Kitchener, before joining the Waterloo Siskins and eventually moving on to the OHL in Barrie with the Colts. He was drafted by the Kings in the first round of the 2012 draft.

Fans can head down to Civic Square between 2 and 4 PM on Sunday to meet Pearson and get their photo taken with the cup.
