September brings the 45th Birthday of the Science Centre and they want you to be a part of it! As part of the celebration, Sunday, September 28 2014 is Community Day at the Science Centre which means free admission for everyone!

HUGE savings for your family.. regular admission prices are $22 for adults, $16 for Youth, Seniors & Students age 13-17 and $13 for kids age 3-12 .. Kids 2 and under are FREE. So what a great family day out to check out this attraction which you need to dedicate the entire day to truly absorb. I have been several times and yet to even see the whole thing.. lots of interactive activities too for youngers kids on the

Breathtaking Performances at Centre in the Square’s FREE Family Event – Sept. 12 & 13



Everyone is invited to join in the fun and breathtaking performances at the Centre in the Square’s FREE opening weekend event on September 12 and 13 in Kitchener. I have watched the video (click on the pic or here) of Strange Fruit and I just can’t wait to see them perform! 

Both Friday and Saturday will have lots of fun activities for the entire family including an interactive kid zone and there will be buskers, jugglers, face painters, hula hoopers and more. Bring your family and your friends, grab a bite from the food trucks and join us for some fabulous entertainment!


Highlights:   Australia’s Strange Fruit, a celebrated touring company that performs atop fourteen-foot flexible poles, bending and swaying to impossible angles while combining elements of theatre, dance, and circus. (see show schedule below) Shows Friday at 6:30 and 8pm and Saturday at 4:00, 6:30 and 8:00 pm


The ToyBox, an interactive and creative fun zone set up in the lobby of Centre in the Square where kids of all ages can create theatre, train, play and explore. Entrance to The ToyBox on Friday is $5 but  is free on Saturday on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The CITS parking lot will be available at a fee and can be accessed from Ellen St.

-Limited street metered and free parking as available
